Hi, I'm Elianne

I was born to a dream-reading mother and freemason father. I've been something of an alchemist since I was born, interested in magical things and unwittingly immersed in mystical experiences.

I ended up studying alchemical literature, philosophy, and dream psychology in university, and wrote my masters on the connections between alchemy, Jungian dream analysis, and modern poetry.

Realizing I had extensive awareness of the metaphysical, but little to no historical knowledge of the physical, especially the history of my own homeland, I decided to shift gears to cultural studies and politics, and wrote my PhD on Palestinian political identity expression.

Sometimes I'm an introverted virgo who loves to read and write and watch obscure documentaries, other times I'm an extroverted leo who lives to entertain, but most (if not all) of the time, I'm an ambivalent, curious cat, listening to music, lounging in the sun, or watching trash television.

"The symbols of the self arise in the depths of the body and they express its materiality every bit as much as the structure of the perceiving consciousness. The symbol is thus a living body, corpus et anima."

- C.G. Jung
